Tortola
January 18, 2007
We are now on Tortola, one of the British Virgin Islands. We’ve been round the Old Governor’s House and had our history lesson (poor Brenda!). Don’t want to be here during the hurricane season based on what one did in 1924. Jackie has gone off to swim with dolphins.
We snorkled at Barbados (even Brenda) and swam with turtles and even got a tow! Another swimmer thought I was life saving Brenda because I was towing Brenda back to the beach by pulling the back of her life jacket.
Weather baking hot now (you can’t please some people!)

Well, well, well, what a mighty fine time you are all having. I’m impressed that Auntie B has tried snorkling again after the Maldives killer fish experience.
I’ve been on the phone to Nana this evening. Now she has the new hearing aid I asked if she would like a visit. Karin and I are going to visit her and take her out for lunch on Saturday.
Called and left a message for Pa to check up on him as you are away. He was out, proably at bridge. I’ll try again in a few days.
Carry on crusing!

Great news that the weather has improved! Can’t say we are enjoying what we are experiencing here at the mo. Best your missing it all together. No news from the hospital. All seems to be following the usual pattern.
Hope you all manage to fit in many more experiences like the snorkling and swimming with the dolphins. Nicola has never forgotten hers.
Love to all

The weather is rubbish here – trees and roof tiles down everywhere. I couldn’t get back to Carolyn’s last night because the train line was suspended so had to go back to Barking instead. Luckily my house was in tact – the whole storm seemed to have passed Michelle by (I don’t mean literally).
Dad – I’m not sure you look much like a life-saver – where you wearing red speedos?

Well well well, it would seem you’re all having a super time!! I’m trying to sound enthusiastic although, as with when your daughters had this blog, I’m extremely jealous and verging on bitter!!
The experiences so far sound amazing – inclusive of ice cream sundaes, afternoon teas and now baking hot weather!!
Life here continues with work, bad weather, putting up with Michelle and now, thanks to Karin, images of Roger in red speedos that are distressing me somewhat!
Glad you’re all having a lovely holiday (really, I am!) and hope it continues in such a fashion.
Looking forward to a visit to Sunny Syde on your return!
Lots of love,
Aimes x
